PUMPKIN FRITTERS RECIPE JUST IN TIME FOR YOUR HOLIDAY CELEBRATION!

Most people think of apple fritters—or maybe peach fritters—but pumpkin fritters deserve a spot at the top of your fall baking list. These easy pumpkin fritters come together in just minutes using simple pantry ingredients, making them perfect for this year's Holiday Celebration. The lightly spiced pumpkin batter is deep-fried until golden brown, then finished with a generous dusting of powdered sugar and a rich bourbon cream cheese glaze drizzle. I make these homemade pumpkin fritters as soon as fall baking season kicks off because they’re warm, comforting, and full of classic pumpkin spice flavor. Trust me—don’t sleep on these. Get at it, boos.

For the Fritters:

  1. Pour 2 inches of veggie oil into a saucepan over medium heat. Prep a plate with paper towels for post-fry drainage.

  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  3. Grab a larger bowl and whip together pumpkin puree (canned 100% pure pumpkin puree works well), milk, egg, brown sugar, and vanilla until it’s smooth.

  4. Gradually add the dry mix to the pumpkin mixture. Stir together. Your cue that it’s ready is a thick batter consistency.

  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, carefully drop that batter into the hot oil. I would probably only fry just 3-4 fritters per batch so it isn’t overcrowded.

  6. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes until they’re golden brown. Lift them out and drain on those paper towels. Powder with powdered sugar.

For the Glaze:

  1. While your fritters are frying, whisk together your glaze ingredients in a medium bowl until smooth. Too thick? Thin it out by adding a teaspoon of milk at a time until you get that perfect drizzle consistency. Drizzle over the top and serve.
